I live in NY and I'm just curious as to everyone's position on this matter, what does everyone think? Are you guys in favor or against?

I would never stand in the way between those two Mexican lovebirds we adore so much.

I don't really have a position on it since it's a huge debate in California after having passed it, rebanned it, repassed it, rebanned it, etc, etc.

I don't see the big deal in a slip of government paper stating you're legally married or partners for life. Marriage in church is up to the church, not the government, however. Some are happy to accept it, others not so much.

And yes, AA7.

Accept the slip, Lav.

Where have you been these days anyways, AA7?

Well I live about an hour and a half away from Niagara Falls, and all I've been hearing these past 24 hours is how evil gays are and how much of a sin it is for them to get married. I was in favor of it, so I was just curious as to your opinions.

When this website decides to log me out, it's hard for me to remember my password and log back in. So I just end up lurking sometimes instead of posting. I did see your recent 4v4 webcast.

This is a good thing for NY and the whole country. Every year, it's becoming more clearer that the discrimination against gays is so Jim Crow. The whole country is moving on, and the only ones left are the homophobes foaming at the mouth and looking ridiculous.

Well, the main practical issue is the legal recognition. A legal marriage means someone can actually enter the ER/OR with their partner (They could not before since you couldn't prove a common law gay marriage), file jointly as a couple and with children for a big reduction in taxes, and share health care.
