Re: The New Forum
Ahh much better! k super duper and everybody is happy w/ the ability to display or not display signatures! I'll be logging on as myself more now rather than just a guest to take advantage of this!
This is a great forum btw and one of my bookmarked pages that I routinely visit. Thnx for all time and energy you put into maintaining this place. I read a lot of the threads that don't ever contribute/post in and so am not as active as could be. I am a routine visitor even tho might not seem like it at times.
~ love ya.

Re: The New Forum
I tend to agree with the text-only sigs thing, since image sigs on a nerd forum tend to end up as a competition to see who can make the ugliest, least creative misuse of photoshop filters to spell out their username, but that occasionally there can still be a use for text sigs that is lost if you force all your sane users into disabling sigs altogether. but yeah just having the option for individual users to disable all sigs is "enough"
(my sig is still tastosis or something isn't it??)
edits: otoh i still have avatars turned on and yet i deliberately made a horrible avatar so maybe just forget i said anything
...
also lol @ the psn/steam/origin things. doublelol at origin still not having a proper web interface for user profiles
...
triplelol @ getting an error message saying "Both Steam field [sic] must be filled!" when the second field requires me to register for some third party bullshit. fuck. that.
...
oh wonderful, the fucking plugin you're using tries to con CC's users into registering on some service when plugging in your normal steam ID # without registering works perfectly anyway

Re: The New Forum
yeah, at the moment it's only me and AA7 (who has a "1025" rank for his currently 1037 posts) who have > 998 posts but not a staff or admin title
(also weird is that I'm in the staff group but don't have the title. don't fix it though, I like it )

A reminder to keep it civil, and keep it positive.
I've banned two users within a month, and I have no issue doing so even if it means activity lowers to 1 post a week.
The Palin within me is releasing.

Re: The New Forum
CSS error causes linebreaking when people have fullsize avatars
compare narrow avatar
memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=1687
with wide avatar

Re: The New Forum
Maybe it's just because I'm using a fullscreen monitor (not sure how it affects this), but large avatars on blog comments cover up text.

Me four. Stretching my Firefox window doesn't even help like it did when we had this problem on the countless iterations of Chaos Sanctuary.
