Campaign Makers: Where are you?
I've been wondering, it's awfully quiet, what have you guys been up to? I can remember there were a ton of us in that contest.
Me? I'm working on finding a good support group who shares my interests in a non-competitive way. I'm wondering if you guys have new campaigns for Zerg, in a way more of a "challenge" type missions. Have you played Generals? Just like that.
But, yeah, what have you guys been up to? No new campaigns, projects? Busy with school?

I am always here. Watching. Waiting. But mostly watching. Well, actually, it's more of a peaking, and from an elevated vantage point, just at the right angle to see down your blouse.

Ah, of course. I have no doubt you'll ever be absent man. I mean, you're one of the pillars around these parts. You're kind of essential. No kidding.

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
Okay, so it almost settles down to one conclusion: not much interest and passion on making campaigns. But why? What made campaign makers want to make campaigns before? Why is there a decline in activity regarding this passion/hobby?

It might have something to do with SC2 looming overhead, maybe mesk has been slacking on his whipping duties.

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
I admit it has something to do with SC2 in my case as well. I'm very excited to tinker with the editor that comes with sc2 beta as well.
So, do you guys feel the same thing? Like it's no good making something now since most people if not 99% of the community won't even think about playing a SCBW campaign?

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
School gets me down real low. But you guys hardly know me so what do you care.
Actually my last campaign hit dead-end that I know I could've fixed but due to lack of motivation, didn't.
SC2 is not the reason because it's taking too damn long... (And I probably will only be able to buy it a month after it's out...).
I don't care if people don't play a campaign, their loss or gain, not my problem.
Otherwise I'll be exploring modding and hoping I can find something that hasn't been done (impossible)...

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
That is very nice to hear. Self-nourishment in some way through experience without thought or concern of affects to and of external activity. I've always been like that, but somehow, I've lost that recently. It's almost quiet in my thoughts, but there's something of a stir that I need to do something.
Weird to read that, but how else can I put it?

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
I'm working on my third revision of the Celestial Reverie script. Other than that, just waiting on the beta to get here so I can delve into that map editor. It's all about SC2 for me. I'm done with the original StarCraft.

Re: Campaign Makers: Where are you?
Seems to be the case with many- We've seen it before: "I'm putting my campaign on hold and I'll port it to WC3" has now turned into "port it to SC2." Except just like WC3, the editor isn't going to be any easier for anyone, and thus projects will fall. Hopefully the most planned out and dedicated ones can move forward.
