Re: GalaxyEdit?
Actually, yeah, now that I take a closer look, this is just another destined failure of a site. The admin there made another site called map makers guild (never previously heard of it) and the place is empty. Most users ever online: 18. Lol. Now is the last time that you would want to start up a new map/mod site for SC. SC2 is almost here and people are losing interest in the already established sites, let alone new ones.

Re: GalaxyEdit?
Everyone has their own amazing idea and thinks they can capitalize on SC2's fame. But all of their sites are hideous, like the one you linked, and present absolutely nothing new or interesting.
Sites like CC has the advantage in that it has existing content, but also has the disadvantage that it's an established community that has been stale for many, many years.
None of it will matter until SC2 comes out. Then it will fall down on to who provides the best coverage and such.

Re: GalaxyEdit?
I'm referring to stuff like articles and video media. With the advent of broadband and fraps and h264, everyone and their mom is going to be produced HD video content of gameplay and the editor. After that, it then drums down to the presence and the quality of commentation.
It's going to be fierce and bloody.

Looks like WC3campaigns. You can laugh now, but the price of success is constant vigilance. Gotta be on top of your game or before you know it, they'll have the ears and eyes of the SC2 community.

Let me repeat:thebrowncloud wrote: Actually, the website I was reffering to is GalaxyEdit.net. I have no idea what galaxyedit.com is.
Meaning: They didn't get the .com, I did. Personally, I would think StarEdit.net deserves GalaxyEdit.net but we don't all agree so easily on fairness. GalaxyEdit.com will likely redirect to some CC specific page or forum for GalaxyEdit. (IF it's even called that.)Lavarinth wrote: You know what's funny?

Re: GalaxyEdit?
I remember it being called SCUMMEdit or something similar but I guess they figured that sounded silly. Because it does.
Their max tools and such are called Startools last I heard.

Ah. My mistake. I misinterpreted, obviously. When did you start that site?Lavarinth wrote:Let me repeat:thebrowncloud wrote: Actually, the website I was reffering to is GalaxyEdit.net. I have no idea what galaxyedit.com is.
