Re: HERE ARE SOME GRAPHS

What if you killed the refineries and then mass removed all other units? Would that work? (Guessing it wouldn't, otherwise you would have done it.)

Re: Protis Sniper

Comrades, Any time now, I might disappear. This is an urgent message that must be passed on to everyone on the forums. Ninth of August, I discovered a secret, hidden power that can only be discovered by lifting off one's Nexus. Do as I say, and keep it secret, keep it safe! Little did I know, unleas...

Re: Zerg

Yea, that's true. I don't really find it coming back to haunt me though. Eh, long term vs. short term benefit I guess. If you extractor trick, you'll essentially be losing out on a mineral retrieval, while otherwise, you get 50 extra minerals around end-game faster. Since I send out my 9 drone and u...

Re: Zerg

Erm, excuse me? Where's your hard data? in my pants, next to my head (but srs, it's coming from my experience. which is soft data, ffuuuu) I'm actually surprised someone actually went through and got data though. - I'm going to compare the averages of the first two types. The first and second attem...

Re: Zerg

IMO, the total wait time is insignificant, especially once you get the hang of it - ideally, there will be one extractor on each side of the mineral line, and at least 1 drone mining from the furthest fields form the centre of the line. The best timings are when the drones are going out to start min...

Re: Zerg

For 18.75 -> 19 minerals, you can extractor trick. That's a deficiency of a mere 6 minerals. You receive 5 minerals per mineral retrieval. Based on your timing and speed, it's possible to lose less than a second in extractor tricking and regain your loss instantly, with surplus thanks to the quickne...

Re: Zerg

I'd think that a x2 Extractor trick would eventually slow you down a bit too much. I prefer using it once at 10 and when I'm about to receive my next mineral wave, around 55-65 minerals, and sending out my 9th drone (while it is still building, rallying it) for scouting purposes (CTRL+1). At this po...

DAMN IT, I KEEP FORGETTING THIS.

Re: Situation Report: Patch 1.1 and Beyond

why not just buff ram then? Why would they? I think I'd prefer the AOE splash damage to buildings. Buff Ram to do AoE damage... 'cause it's a giant fucking elephant with 4 tusks RAMMING INTO A BUILDING. -I THINK IT COULD LOGICALLY DEAL SOME AOE DAMAGE. Also, maybe give Ultralisks their speed upgrad...

Re: Situation Report: Patch 1.1 and Beyond

why not just buff ram then?

EDIT:
Especially since the Ultralisk was a joke unless it had creep support. Even then, it's easy to deal with between Force Fields, Concussive Grenades, and micro.

Re: Void Ray Massing

I want to build on m previous post regarding expansions and how each base chews up 30 food. This problem is HUGE for Zerg. DOUBLY huge, because they need scores of units, which needs several bases and map control, which in turn requires 30 food each to "run optimally." This problem is trip...
