If the custom grps have the same number of frames and the same animations as the unit you're replacing, AFAIK you can use that unit's iscript code (copy the iscript start point in the images.dat settings to your new unit's image settings) unless you want to use a different shadow underlay from that ...

Ugh, I sure hope they don't mess up the Starcraft lore too.

As for a Starcraft movie, it's probably best to see if they do Diablo justice first. We certainly wouldn't want a Starcraft movie to be an embarassment (though that still wouldn't be as bad as making the actual sequel an embarassment).

How big is the Xel'Naga Temple? One of the mods I have replaces the Nexus with it, and it crashes the game if it's on the screen when it finishes warping in.

At what level are you changing the graphic (flingy, sprite, image or grp)? You might need to copy the parameters for the Hyperion/Battlecruiser's flingy, sprite and image settings to your new ones. I can see how giving a BC a flingy that can't turn (Ion Cannon) would cause problems. It should be unn...

Notice also the tanks in tank mode firing, and the marines without shields (according to a Blizzard rep the shields are a part of a marine upgrade).

I don't know C; I'll probably have to learn the scripting language from the GUI output like JASS. Even though I only had a superficial understanding of JASS (what the heck is a "handle"?) that was enough to do some pretty fancy stuff. Whoa, that thing was in the Gundam Century TC for Starcraft... the memories... (a Kampfer dies) "My path is set." And Mesk, I might be able to help with scripting, depending on several factors (primarily depending on how the mod and scripting systems work, and how well my computer handles the editor).

By theorycraft I meant Blizzard's attempts at balance; I mean they need to have a working multiplayer mode before they can balance it.

Didn't that article claim Blizzard didn't even know what abilities that Archon would have yet? I wouldn't be surprised if Blizz hadn't decided for sure if the Tempest can attack air. They might be harvested faster (say, 12 minerals per chunk) or be infused with Vespene Gas (say, 6 minerals and 2 gas per chunk) which is actually kind of like what Tiberium is  ::)

Has anyone seen the Tempest's fighters fire any projectiles? It looks more like they attack by slicing into things; they're certainly shaped for it.
