Re: Cans and Cannots with Starcraft Modding

lololol I should have warned you about that.

Personally, I would merely prefix the "sound" folder in my StarCraft directory, such that the resultant folder name would be "_sound". That way, I'd be able to keep the sounds for quick access in case I ever needed them.

Re: Cans and Cannots with Starcraft Modding

Actually, if I recall correctly, bajadulce's Planet Erratus (was that what it was called?) featured custom "wireframes" that appeared like the actual unit did, as opposed to being made up of lines. (I.e. a normal picture of the unit, except that it had an "aura" around it that changed from green to ...

Re: Cans and Cannots with Starcraft Modding

For number 3: Besides using DAT Edit, you can also go to this website, , scroll down to the bottom, and then download and use either the Brood War or Vanilla StarCraft sound utilities, to extract all of StarCraft's sounds. You'll get an idea on how the sounds folder of any mod is structured, and whe...

Re: Is it appropriate to create a SC campaign now?

I think you should just make an SC campaign. There are already a lot of resources available for mapping and modding SC. SC is plain awesome, anyway. And what time is like the present?

Re: Take two, this time in space (Download on page 8)

All right, I'll try to elaborate. (If I came\come off as a prick, then I'm sorry, 'cause I wasn't try to agitate/insult.) Many of the ship models look flat or flimsy. They don't appear to have much depth to them. Some of the blocks that look like they should be sticking out don't actually look like ...

Re: Take two, this time in space (Download on page 8)

Hey, I tried this out. It looks... bad, to be frank (why does everything seem so FLAT?) but the iscripting is pretty good. The add-ons are pretty funky as of now, hard to click on.
But on a whole, this mod looks like it has quite a bit of potential.
Notify me or something when it's finished, ja?

Re: [RESOURCE] Doomageddon Model Pack (GRPs) -- Many pictures!

Thanks for the welcome/comments! About modeling techniques for 2 and 3: I can't really say anything about "modeling techniques," since I don't think I completely understand what that means (I read don't know anything about 3D modeling). Presently, I'm interpreting it as methods I've used frequently ...
