Re: wtf so op man

Meanwhile, at Blizzard HQ http://i.imgur.com/2h6kcUu.jpg I don't know if you know Kim Taek Yong Often called "Bisu" But if you do I have something to tell to him He may not like Starcraft 2 Which to him is void of passion Void of anything good We agree with Bisu on this Because he is righ...

Re: About the upcoming patch 2.1

There should be a way around the file size limitation at least, you can still have custom dependencies right? Then it's more of an account hosting size limitation, and maybe you can use dependencies in your mod that are hosted by other accounts, then it's a limitation of just how much money you are ...

Re: About the upcoming patch 2.1

It would be useful if you could use it to message your friends without loading the whole dang game, or even just see if they're online. No such luck. Anyway, JademusSreg has a mod that adds Tiberium to the game: link I don't think that link is going to work for me anytime soon, or possibly ever, if...

Re: Blizzcon 2013

This doesn't surprise me, be waiting for the RPS piece to inform the masses that all is well and going completely 180 on Browder/Blizz, bizarre bullying of others over normal views followed by fellating praise and invitation into the enlightened fold after the other side relents is how these interne...

Me too, now they just need to move Blink, Meat Hook and who knows what else from SC2 to their MOBA and we're good to go. 8)

Re: Custom Campaign Audience

Yeah, it might not be the cache but it seems to help. About saving getting blocked - IIRC when you use Test Document the editor creates a copy of the map or mod you're testing and gives that to the game, so the original file is never locked by the game, but everything else that the game accesses lik...

Re: Custom Campaign Audience

That's what I was talking about earlier when saying you should keep the game open so things are cached, obviously you wouldn't go back to the login screen or something after each test, that would probably stop it from helping.

Re: About the upcoming patch 2.1

Ext mods look cool.......the problem is that right now, even if there are triggers in a dependency set to run on "Map Initialization", not a single trigger from the dependency is allowed to run by default - unless the triggers of the map itself specifically call at least one trigger functi...

Re: Custom Campaign Audience

No, that's just the game. The editor is much more lenient, it only wants to connect to battlenet every 2-3 weeks or so, otherwise you can't use it.

Re: Custom Campaign Audience

It's true, the game does some file checksum check with battlenet that makes file modifications impossible. The only way to alleviate it a little is to keep the editor and the game running side by side at all times so everything's cached... but then you might not be able to run anything else very wel...

Re: Increasing Recall radius

Maybe it's an exe edit in Firegraft, like the one that makes Recall teleport units from the Arbiter to the target point, though I'm not sure if exe edits work well anymore. Failing that you will probably have to to look into the General Plugin Template Project and actually inject code into SC just t...

Re: Playing SC2 Campaigns

Basically you'll need to use Matinee to create those sequences, it's kind of time-consuming to use but should be intuitive enough, the same way you have a "movement track" for objects you can have a track for changing particle parameters, beams are just particle systems with vector paramet...

Re: Custom Campaign Audience

Interest seems to have gone down a bit, but mostly due to dissapointment over a lack of completed campaigns... there's not a lack of demand or anything, projects that show up on sc2mapster are usually met with lots of enthusiasm even if they are obvious long shots. I reckon a complete full-size camp...

Re: Playing SC2 Campaigns

Yeah I know about Apex and actually remember the 1.5 thing back when it happened, it's funny because good build&destroy (there is room set aside for it but it's not really that inspired) and melee AI is exactly what's missing from my campaign. I can't help you much with UDK probably since most o...
