Is your avatar going to finally return to its roots, Lavarinth? ;)

Nova Covert Ops (Hidden Spoilers)

So Nova Covert Ops mission pack 1 is out, anyone had a chance to give it a go? I thought the story was supposed to be darker than the SCII trilogy (that's what I'd heard) but so far the presentation's still pretty silly. It's not surprising they chose to make Nova the main character since she's prob...

Re: Legacy of the Void (Spoilers Hidden)

Super late but I totally binged the hell out of this over the last few days from some bizarre impulse. I actually didn't dislike it as much as I thought I would - or as much as, like, HotS. The story and writing and especially the way those things were presented was pretty bad, but I wasn't groaning...

Re: New Starcraft Campaign: Tales of Halcyon

Hey Andrea, awesome to see you're still supporting this project! I never did finish playing this since I got a job and busy with other stuff... I guess now's as good as any as a time to continue! Expect mini-reviews for maps 4-6 in the near future (and addendums to dialogue notes for the first and t...

Re: Hey all

Welcome to the forum, fromtheshadows. First of all I'd recommend checking out my campaign listing - it contains all known (English) fan campaigns for StarCraft as of right now. There's almost two decades worth of projects there. For campaigns focusing mostly on Build and Destroy elements, um... I'll...

Re: What games do you guys like to play?

I haven't been following game news enough to really know off the top of my head what's coming out this year. Thanks to trying to get a job and other boring stuff like that I haven't been playing a lot of games. I liked Life is Strange a lot. Except the ending I got was written really badly. Speaking...

Drake Clawfang's Campaigns

Alright, cracking down on this, because it's bugged me long enough that I need to do something about it. Does anybody around here have any of Drake Clawfang's campaigns? I already have The Mar Sarah Missions, so I'm specifically talking about The Chronicles of Zeratul, Enslavers III: Twisted Legacy,...

Legacy of the Void (Spoilers Hidden)

This post does not contain spoilers I guess Legacy of the Void is out. I can't afford it right now and the internet here is garbage, so I haven't played it, but I did watch several cutscenes (including the ending) on youtube. I like the animations and choreography but the story seems to get pretty s...

Re: New Starcraft Campaign: Tales of Halcyon

Sorry for my own pedantry then, Eredalis. It wasn't my intention to criticize your knowledge of StarCraft lore, but I hope you'll understand why your memory alone doesn't work as a source for me :P Good debate anyways.

Re: New Starcraft Campaign: Tales of Halcyon

Oh, I just meant text chatting on Skype. I don't have a mic or webcam or anything. I find it easier to instant message when discussing this kind of thing is all.

I'll be getting back to the last few maps soon, by the way.

Re: New Starcraft Campaign: Tales of Halcyon

He doesn't seem remotely suspicious until Schezar literally picks up the Cerebrate in a Dropship. Sorry, what? In a Dropship? How the hell did he fit that thing in there? LOLOL! I was expecting something like that... Uh, what can I say, perhaps it's a medium-sized Cerebrate... Perhaps it's a big tr...

Re: What is most important

I voted gameplay, story, and dialogue, because that's what are personally the most important to me, but I think it depends a lot on context. Every project will call for different things in order of importance. If the developer's primary reason for making a campaign is to provide an entertaining expe...

Re: New Starcraft Campaign: Tales of Halcyon

No, I'm pretty sure about this, Church. You know, I would remember on such a important detail. Either the games or extended lore (books, mangas, etc.) have ever spoken of the fact that khaydarin crystals have been on other planets, too. Well, do you have a source that says the crystals were only on...
