Re: Problem with upgrading and storm.dll

The issue is with using old mods that require versions before 1.15.2, because the format for the key isn't supported before that version. Using some files from the newer versions works to some degree, but there may be issues trying to play very old versions on it.

Re: Problem with The Fenix launcher

WinMPQ can convert cwad archives to mpq, .cwd and both StarDraft and StarGraft exe are all supported. It does not support extracting the StarGraft patch files, but the exe will extract those on its own when it runs anyway. I know how to extract them without running the exe if there is a reason to co...

Re: World's Smartest Bank Robber

By the way, the article about him being identified mentions that he's already been in prison before for an armed robbery conviction. :P

Re: World's Smartest Bank Robber

Old news but not posted here.  I saw a link to it from some other news DrumsofWar linked to just today. First of all, a couple days after the news at the start of this thread, they identified the suspect: http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/08/27/bank.robberies/index.html And sometime later he was ev...

Re: US PC Game Piracy Nearing 80%

I'm sure I'll play through the SC2 campaign, but I'll also be getting it for the same reason that I ever play WC3 after I had finished the campaign - for the custom maps.  That alone is probably enough of a reason that I'd buy it, regardless of whether the rest of the game is any good.  I'...

You can rent PC games?

Re: The movie to make us all forget about Twilight

Thirst: I think that sounds like it might be Korean, actually.  Also, all of the text in the video is in Korean for sure. Blood: The Last Vampire: At least some of the scenes in that seem to be the exact scenes that were in an animated movie with the same name (I saw it on TV once).  Of co...

Re: The web browser thread

I generally prefer to keep the web browser window no wider than what would fit on the screen resolutions of 1280 width.  I have no particular preference on height.

By the way, I just checked the image dimensions and found that one is 1236 pixels wide.

Re: The web browser thread

First posted that wasn't Firefox. lol [imgwh 640x437:2mzvyzl0]http://img109.imageshack.us/img109/5658/notfirefox.jpg I don't know how you can stand to have your web browser maximized on that size of monitor (the resolution), having the text over such a wide area on many web sites. lol

Re: StarDraft and CWADs

You could also try opening the CWAD with winmpq. I don't know if that works, but if it does you might be in luck. Yes, the current version of WinMPQ can open those CWAD files.  lol, I thought I had mentioned it sometime at least to you.  It does not actually let you directly view the list...

Does the error happen every time with that specific file or only some of the time?

Re: ThunderGraft Now Undead

I don't think that could be a problem with my plugin, since it only changes which file gets opened.

Re: ThunderGraft Now Undead

If you mean the patcher, there is an alternative you could try out until a working version is available.  Did you know that SCMLoader can be used as a FireGraft patch loader?  You can use either the SCModLoader program, or if you need any MPQDraft plugins, load the MPQ in MPQDraft and add ...

Re: ThunderGraft Now Undead

I said that updating the patching code used in the playlist plugin would fix the Data Execution Prevention issue and the issue that Mesk had reported to me, but it also appears to have fixed the issue bajadulce mentioned above.  I still don't quite understand what kind of weird interactions wer...
