Re: Let's (Listen to Pr0nogo) Play: Flame Knives

lol I still have an account here somehow after all these years. I agree completely about the difficulty; the campaign was made when I used to play Starcraft somewhat competitively, plus I had an unreliable supply of beta testers who were pretty much just there to play content ahead of the rest. So, ...

Yoyoyo, I mean... greetings gentlemen.

Yeah, feel free to grab any doodads: just give me, Taeradun and Blizzard the credits for them. :)

Re: OFFICIAL: First HotS Campaign Screenshots

I liked the ice planet and the sasquatch thingies.

And I prefer the appearances of both the human and infested Kerrigan over the post-WoL version.

All the rest... eh, ok. I guess. Has anything regarding the editor been announced yet?

It's World of Thrallcraft!

Edit: the cinematic quality is pretty good though.

Re: Ret-Conning Greatly Weakens SC2 Story

He got promoted/reassigned. Remember that, in SC1, the player-character was called in to replace Tassadar as the Executor. Unless there can be several Executors at once, it's safe to assume that it was only a temporary title. His promotion doesn't happen during the Protoss campaign in BW since they...

Re: Ret-Conning Greatly Weakens SC2 Story

"Minimizing", I think not. He was one of the many victims of the Brood War, and there's really no reason why Raynor should care more about him than any of his other dead war buddies. Yeah, he vowed revenge, but I think it had more to do with Kerrigan's backstab than the death of some alie...

Pretty much. But hey, at least we might get some cool units and tilesets to play with.

Re: Ret-Conning Greatly Weakens SC2 Story

Except Fenix hasn't been retconned out of existence; last time I checked, he's still mentioned in SC2's online manual (i.e. Braxis's description). Blizzard may have been indeed minimizing his role (which wasn't much to being with) but ultimately chose not to mention him in-game because he wasn't ne...

Re: Ret-Conning Greatly Weakens SC2 Story

I'm not sure about the rest of the things, as I don't read SC novels, but Artanis being the Executor is a blatant retcon. In BW Aldaris addresses you, the player, and introduces Artanis - a PRAETOR - to you. He is referred to as Praetor through the rest of the campaign, and all other characters refe...

Re: [New Campaign] StarCraft I: Echoes of the Swarm (new nam

@ briefing issue: Omega, your briefing was mostly bad. The only thing that was good about it was the shit you stole from me. :P "Bad" and "good" are subjective judgments and hardly seem relevant here. Next time if you like somebody's stuff, just leave 'em a PM or something. Copy...

Re: [New Campaign] StarCraft I: Echoes of the Swarm (new nam

Sorry about it, I assumed it was a blatant case of plagiarism/theft. My bad. What's the deal with this "trigger theft" thing? Not accusing anyone of anything, just genuinely curious. Unlike other authors I'd feel flattered if my triggers were copied and used for anything, as long as the en...

Re: [New Campaign] StarCraft I: Echoes of the Swarm (new nam

Heh, so years pass and omega20 is still stealing stuff from other people. I often found myself returning to SC just to play his maps and check if he was plagiarizing or stealing anything from me. In most of the cases, it turned out that I was right. :) If you want to make a campaign using material f...
