Re: StarCraft II Map Publishing - A Primer

It doesn't sound like the restrictions posted here are going to have a major effect on custom single-player campaigns, but external TC's or big mods are another issue. Poop. Makes me glad I decided to stick with SC for my campaign.

Re: [Campaign] Empire Wars - RELEASE PARTY

That link worked like a charm, thanks man. In my experience the SC and BW campaigns were not too hard for me with the exception of maybe the last mission of Protoss in SC and the last mission of Zerg in BW, both of which are of course the final missions of the entire 30-ish mission set in each insta...

Re: [Campaign] Empire Wars - RELEASE PARTY

Cool, man. I've been looking around for a recent campaign in the original Blizzard style. No fuss, no huge files, no mods, I dig it. Just plain ol' Starcraft with a few twists. However, try as I might, that download site just is not working for me.  :P

Re: Is it appropriate to create a SC campaign now?

A crucial part of making a campaign is knowing intimately the gameplay involved. Some of the best campaigns and maps I've played have to do with the creator modifying the existing gameplay and standard B&D scenarios to fit the aesthetic. In all cases this is based on what I can only assume is a pret...

Re: How to get custom .exe files to run on Vista

Thanks for this. I was able to get Newrand Citadel to run using this, but not EDAST. Is there something different about their exe's? EDAST just crashes SC immediately and posts a number of error messages. Have not tried any other campaigns but I assume Messiah00Guy did something in his updated versi...

Re: Introductions and Questions from an old forumer

Hey guys! So I tried to run exe's via MPQDraft for EDAST and Newrand Citadel with the same effect: windows shuts down Starcrtaft immediately because of "data execution prevention." I put MPQDraft on the list for programs that are safe from this feature, but I can't get Starcraft to get on the list. ...

Re: Introductions and Questions from an old forumer

Thanks for the advice. I'll give MPQDraft a shot.

EDIT: big nevermind. It looks like there is enough out there for my purposes still on this site. Not into doing any huge mod stuff, just advanced staredit. I'll check back in after I've tried to get EDAST to run properly.

Introductions and Questions from an old forumer

Hi all. Some of you may remember me as Raziel, Razzy, or Queitus. I was here when CC first opened, lurking for a while and then starting to post some time around 1999 or 2000. I was a silly little kid and pretended to be a veteran mapmaker. I did make some pretty fantastic one-offs but nothing like ...
