ACCESSING CCdataBase\\ RETRIEVING CCcontentMessage\\ .. msg:"Welcome. To Campaign Creations."

This is a run down interview-style overview of the famous thread known as "Somebody can tell me About CC. History?" In this thread, a simple forumer questioned the history of Campaign Creations, where many veteran forumers joined in on detailing the history. You can view what's left of the original versions via this link.

Yeah. Fortunately, I just make TPC do all of the actual work, while I sit around and think about doing stuff to turn the site into the best place ever or something. I have this funky looking sketch of a new site layout. It's got a bunch of angled lines and stuff.

Mattz
Yep. Thats my role in this grand scheme of things. Sheer gruntwork. Speaking of which, someone remind me to get WB set up sometime during the rest of the week when I have time.

SigmaMagnus
This one is for the archive.

Warbringer87
Must I hype myself continously or something!??!

DrumsofWar
There's nothing wrong with having hope for Warcraft III, Joel, but there are some of us that never gave up hope on Brood War.

If the people here at CC want to make BW campaigns, great! Make some! Make the best BW campaigns you can. Be creative. Make a game with something else, program your own engine. It can be done. If something sufficiently cool came along, I bet it could find a home on CC whatever game it's for.

I don't think any of this is a matter of 'hope' or giving up on a game, though. I'd recommend war3 since it offers more potential for effectively utilizing original media content, and would likely have more of an audience these days, though.

And Warbringer - yeah its good that you're making your mod/campaign. The more cool projects out there, the better. What about everyone else here?

I currently have a special project for Warcraft 3 but I won't give out any information until the project gets a good deal of work done.

Mostly because I don't like to hype things in advance and I prefer to make things fairly secret until they can be presented.

PYRoMaNiaC
I had a project for war3 until Magic fired me from SA so I cancelled it because it was on the Star Alliance community.

RobDDav
LOL

pyro: how about you finish your campaign then submit it to magic and get back on sa staff. Or you could submit it to palin and maybe become cc staff.

what options

TheAvenger
Or work on something for RCX!

CrazyShanker
RCX doesn't need the help of us peons.

This link has a lot of veterans and past forumers posting here. Pretty entertaining.

Heres a "talk about girls" thread dated April 9, 2001. I must say, Ruaquick1 had the right idea.

Yeah, of course I'm going to make the other 24 installments... why, it's not as if I'm going to have a mysterious harddrive failure after I release the first episode, which, ironically enough, is the only one I have planned, and plan on doing... err, where was I? Well, fine, perhaps I'll make a REAL question, with some sort of possible reward... Ehh, no, that's too much work.

Here's proof I've mellowed with age.

The ironic part being that my harddrive actually did die out..

I make little things for BroodWar to amuse myself. Mods and maps. It would seem I lack the level of commitment necessary to create a campaign, and instead make missions and mods for my friends and family to play.

Anyone remember Mr. Frosty? I remember he was a really critical guy, I always wondered if he just left, or name-changed.

lol! You used to be so vicious in those debates DoW.

Dang.. As I look over this thread, I did very well in this debate over Education. Most likely because I had just finished freshmen year as a Team Debater and our yearly topic was on how to improve Public Education within the United States.

I miss more debates with you DoW. And I miss Sodon and Rua.

Yep, I do. He was Oracle's nemesis. They had some titanic arguments. I always thought Mr. Frosty had keen insight, but he tended to be just a little too persistent and kinda mean, and that got Oracle mad. He did spark more intelligent conversations than most of the other forumers that have frequented CC, though. Gotta give him that.

DrumsofWar
Oracle was way too mysterious and disembodied to have a nemesis.

Maybe a thorn, but certainly not a nemesis.

You were originally hired to make maps and contribute to the group, not never visit the forums and barely irc, and use the staff ftp to store MP3's. And I was never informed of any projects, so it was necessary.

AA7Dragoon
I never really saw Oracle that much around the forums. He was always myseterious and doing his own thing. Occassionally he would post.

CrazyShanker
Same here. How many posts did he make total, anyway?.

PYRoMaNiaC
Well Magic, I only had 5 maps terrained anyways. And I did do a lot of nothing. I visit the forums every day, but there are fewer and fewer topics that interest me. Same with IRC.
